News Republic, a global news syndicator, has announced an update to its app that will allow users to view and share multilingual content from multiple countries, in 29 languages, all from a single news feed. With this latest version, News Republic provides users with news stories, photographs, and videos from more than 1,500 trusted global media sources in their own language, interchangeably, without needing to switch editions.

Multilingual speakers outnumber monolingual speakers in the world's population, and over 7,000 languages are spoken worldwide. Now with the News Republic app, multilingual users can view content in their home language, the language of the country they are located in and/or other languages of interest to get different viewpoints and linguistic nuances that provide diverse perspectives.  Users are able to further customise the news they want to read, and how they want to read it, versus being fed what is only available through traditional media sources.

“Most of the world lives multilingually. We believe news should too. We have noticed from our users’ interactions, together with wider market data, that there are a large number of immigrants and people working and living abroad,” said News Republic’s CEO, Gilles Raymond. “This new update to the app allows for people all over the world to stay in touch with the news they feel matters most.”

The latest version of the News Republic App, 5.4, is now available for iOS and Android users. Please visit the Apple’s App Store and Google Play to download.
